Brussels, the capital of Belgium, is considered one of Europe’s best Christmas Market Destinations. The Brussels Christmas market takes place on and around Grand-Place, Bourse, Place Sainte-Catherine and Marché aux Poissons. In previous years, the Winter Wonders event included a Christmas Market with over 200 chalets, fairground attractions and an ice rink! You could even take a day trip to Bruges and see another Christmas Market!

The flights from Dublin to Brussels are with Ryanair, leaving on Saturday the 13th of December and returning on Monday the 15th of December. As it’s only for two nights, I haven’t added priority with an extra cabin bag and this will cost extra. The hotel is the 4* Moxy Brussels City Centre, which is rated 8.9 out of 10 with guests from Booking.com. This property is just over a 20 minute walk from the Grand Place, where the Winter Wonderland will take place. The hotel has a bar and a fitness centre on site. The rooms are modern with air conditioning, soundproof walls and free Wi-Fi.
A double room at Moxy Brussels City Centre is available for €135 per person for a 2 night stay. This brings the total cost from Dublin to €191 per person, which is based on 2 people sharing.
