Vienna, Austria’s capital, lies in the country’s east on the Danube River. Its artistic and intellectual legacy was shaped by residents including Mozart, Beethoven and Sigmund Freud. The city is also known for its Imperial palaces, including Schönbrunn, the Habsburgs’ summer residence.
Bratislava is the capital of Slovakia and is set along the Danube River by the border with Austria and Hungary. Bratislava is an 18th century Old Town with cycling trails and famous for its nightlife. The reconstructed Bratislava Castle overlooks the Old Town and the Danube.
The itinerary is as follows:

The train between Vienna and Bratislava takes just over an hour and leaves Vienna a number of times during the day. This train will leave you just south of Bratislava. The cost of the train is just under €12 per person on Trainline.com.

For bag sizes – Priority & 2 Cabin Bags: This allows you to carry a small personal bag (40 x 30 x 20 cm), which must fit under the seat in front of you and a 10kg bag (55x40x20cm) onboard, to be stored in the overhead locker. It also allows you to board the plane first using the Priority Boarding queue at the gate.
For adding an extra day or two, you click on the links for flights and hotel then edit the dates to add in the extra day. You can then calculate how much extra it will be.
