Dubrovnik is a city in southern Croatia fronting the Adriatic Sea. It’s known for its distinctive Old Town, encircled with massive stone walls completed in the 16th century. Its well-preserved buildings range from baroque St. Blaise Church to Renaissance Sponza Palace and Gothic Rector’s Palace, now a history museum. Paved with limestone, the pedestrianized Stradun (or Placa) is lined with shops and restaurants.

The flights from Dublin are with Ryanair, leaving on Tuesday the 17th of March and leaving on Thursday the 19th of March. As it’s only for two nights, I haven’t added priority with an extra cabin bag and this will cost extra. The hotel is the 5* Royal Ariston Hotel, which is rated 9 out of 10 with guests from Booking.com. This property is located in the Babin Kuk part of the Lapad Peninsula with a bus stop down the road from the hotel taking you into the Old Town in 20 minutes. The hotel has 3 restaurants and a bar. There is a swimming pool but this is seasonal and will be closed. The rooms are spacious with air conditioning and tea/coffee making facilities.
A double or twin room at Royal Ariston Hotel is available for €89 per person for a 5 night stay including breakfast. This brings the total cost from Dublin to €149 per person, which is based on 2 people sharing.
