Wroclaw is one of the oldest and most beautiful cities in Poland. It’s known for its Market Square, lined with elegant townhouses and featuring a modern fountain. Also on the square is the Gothic Old Town Hall, with its large astronomical clock. Wroclaw was awarded European City Capital of Culture in 2016.

The flights from Dublin are with Ryanair, leaving on Wednesday the 16th of April and leaving on Friday the 18th of April. As it’s only for two nights, I haven’t added priority with an extra cabin bag and this will cost extra. The hotel is the 5* Hotel Altus Palace – Destigo Hotels, which is rated 9.3 out of 10 with guests from Booking.com. This property is a 15 minute walk from the Main Market Square and just over 10 minutes from Wroclaw’s main train station. The hotel has a restaurant, a bar, a fitness centre with a sauna and a hot tub. The hotel also offers free bike hire. The rooms are spacious with air-conditioning, free Wi-Fi and a tea/coffee maker.
A double room at Hotel Altus Palace – Destigo Hotels is available from €102 – €105 per person for a 2 night stay. This brings the total cost from Dublin to €225 per person and the total cost from Shannon to €216 per person. Both options are based on 2 people sharing.
