I visited the Christmas Markets in Dusseldorf last year and loved it! There’s plenty of markets dotted across the city with a great atmosphere.
Dusseldorf is a city in western Germany known for its fashion industry and art scene. It’s divided by the Rhine River, with it’s Old Town (Aldstadt) on the east bank and modern commercial areas to the west. The Dusseldorfer Altstadt is known as the longest bar in the world because the small Old Town has more than 300 bars and nightclubs. There are several Christmas markets in Dusseldorf, all located in the Old Town area. Just a note: most shops are closed in Dusseldorf of a Sunday. However, most of the markets remain open.
