If you want to know more about Dubrovnik, I wrote about my time there and in Montenegro in this Trip Report: Dubrovnik, Croatia and Kotor, Montenegro.

Dubrovnik is a city in southern Croatia fronting the Adriatic Sea. It’s known for its distinctive Old Town, encircled with massive stone walls completed in the 16th century. Its well-preserved buildings range from baroque St. Blaise Church to Renaissance Sponza Palace and Gothic Rector’s Palace, now a history museum. Paved with limestone, the pedestrianized Stradun (or Placa) is lined with shops and restaurants.

Please note: The flight going out to Dubrovnik is with Aer Lingus and the return flight is with Ryanair. Aer Lingus give you a 10 kg checked bag as standard, whereas with Ryanair I’ve added priority with 2 cabin bags. In short, for the Aer Lingus flight you will have to check in the bag but for Ryanair you bring it on board.
