Rio de Janeiro is a huge seaside city in Brazil, famed for its Copacabana, Ipanema beaches and 38 metre high Christ the Redeemer statue atop Mount Corcovado. The city is also famous for its sprawling favelas.
The flights are with Lufthansa and are one-stop via Frankfurt. On their lowest fares, Lufthansa offer an 8 kg cabin bag as standard but a checked bag will be at an additional cost. If you want a checked bag then go to the Lufthansa website and select the “Economy Basic” option, which will bring the flight to €633 return.
