I’m sure most people won’t be booking these deals but its great to be thinking about travel again and get ideas etc. If you were to book a flight I’d recommend reading about the country you plan to fly to current situation and of course Ireland’s (i.e whether you’ll have to quarantine or PCR test), using a credit card as you have greater protection, reading the cancellation conditions and in most cases booking directly with the airline.
Yesterday I posted a deal from Dublin to Budapest that was hugely popular, that deal has sadly gone up in price but this deal from Shannon might interest some of you. This deal is for a trip to the Christmas Markets in Budapest with flights from Shannon and 4 nights in a 3* hotel for €133 pp!
Budapest is renowned for hosting one of Europe’s best Christmas Markets. Budapest Christmas Fair and Winter Festival usually starts from mid-November to New Year’s Day. It takes place in Vorosmarty Square in the heart of the city and is considered the best Christmas Market in the city. If you get tired of the market, then there are also the hot spring pools at Szechenyi Baths or take a river cruise along the Danube.
The flights are with Ryanair, leaving Shannon on Saturday the 11th of December and returning on Wednesday the 15th of December. The hotel is the 3* Ibis Budapest City, which is rated a very good 8.5 out of 10 with guests from Booking.com. This property is situated on the Pest side in the heart of the city at Blaha Lujza square in the business and shopping centre of the city. The Christmas Market on Vorosmarty Square is just over 1.5 km walk or 10 mins door to door from the hotel on the metro. The rooms at the hotel are typical of that of an Ibis hotel being clean and comfortable.
A double or twin room at is available for €93 pp (based on 2 people sharing) for a four night stay. This brings the total cost for flights and 4 nights in a 3* hotel to just €133 pp!
