Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, sits off the mainland on an island in the Persian (Arabian) Gulf. There is plenty to see in Abu Dhabi including the Grand Mosque, Ferrari World and Yas Island. Abu Dhabi is less than 2 hours from Dubai.

The eagle eyed ones would have spotted that the flights leave Ireland on the 6th of December and leave the UAE in the early hours of the 12th of December, which technically is 6 nights, not 5 that I have suggested. You can either pay for the extra night in the hotel, which I haven’t included in the overall cost or you could leave your bags at the hotel and go exploring for the day. You’ll be checking in for your flight home at 11 pm on the 11th of December anyway so the choice is up to you.
