Off for Easter and looking for travel inspiration? Look no further than Iceland flying from Belfast. I know the vast majority would prefer to fly from Dublin but with the pound quite weak and Belfast Airport still only an hour and a half away from Dublin Airport, there are also buses to take you from one to the other, it’s really worth considering!
I was looking for flight deals for the Easter Holidays and airlines charge double what they usually would. A simple Dublin to Liverpool return is over 80EUR. Iceland is a popular destination at Easter time as if it’s early you can still get a glimpse of the Northern Lights. Wow Air is charging 241EUR return for the cheapest return flights from Dublin to Reykjavik during the Easter Holidays. In comparison with this deal with EasyJet, that has better times, and they charge 79EUR return from Belfast to Reykjavik (get a discount if two people book at the same time).
The deal we have is leaving Belfast on Tuesday the 27th March and returning on the 31st March. Below is a screenshot of the Easyjet flights, click on this to book this bargain!
Iceland is notoriously expensive and it is evident with the cost of accommodation. Brim Hotel is located walking distance to the centre of Reykjavik and is rated a decent 7.9 out of 10 with guests from Booking.com. The staff are highly rated at an 8.9 out of 10 as they plan day trips for you from the front desk. The cost of this room for four nights is 148.50EUR for four nights per person for a shared bathroom or if you want a private bathroom it is 169EUR per person for the four nights.
