Hey folks, just a few things about this deal. Transfers from Marrakesh Airport to Essaouira and vice versa are not included in the overall cost and I would recommend contacting whichever property you stay at for information on transfers. Essaouira is along the coast so there will be a breeze, around mid 20’s in terms of degrees, but Marrakesh will be hot in the early 30’s so just bear this in mind.
Essaouira is a port city and resort on Morocco’s Atlantic coast. Its medina (old town) is protected by 18th-century seafront ramparts called the Skala de la Kasbah, which were designed by European engineers. Strong “Alizée” trade winds make the city’s crescent beach popular for surfing, windsurfing and kitesurfing. As a result of the winds the beach at Essaouira can sometimes be too windy for sun bathing.

Trip Report: Marrakesh, Morocco
Marrakesh or Marrakech (both spellings are commonly used) is a former imperial city in western Morocco, is a major economic centre and home to mosques, palaces and gardens. Night markets, camel rides and the Atlas Mountains are among the reasons to travel to Marrakesh. Marrakesh represents great value for money and the standard of accommodation is fantastic! I recommend staying in a riad, which is a traditional Moroccan house with an interior garden or courtyard.
The flights are with Ryanair leaving Dublin on Thursday the 16th of July and returning on Thursday the 23rd of July. The accommodation in Essaouira is with Dar El Paco, which is a B&B rated a superb 9.2 out of 10 with guests from Booking.com. This traditional Moroccan bed and breakfast is located in the Old Town of Essaouira 300 metres from the beach. The accommodation provides guided tours of the souk, just 50 metres away. Local activities also include horse or camel riding and kitesurfing. Each room is individually designed with free WiFi.

The accommodation in Marrakesh is with Riad Minorisa, which is rated a superb 9 out of 10 with guests from Booking.com. This property is set in an 18th-century, UNESCO-listed palace and is 10 minute walk from Jamaa El Fna Square. Each room has air conditioning (key in the Summer!), a seating area and a private bathroom with free toiletries.
A double or twin room at Riad Minorisa is available for €60 pp for a 3 night stay. This brings the total cost for flights (including checked luggage) and 7 nights accommodation to €315 pp!
