While not necessarily home to a Christmas Market, Dubrovnik has events in December such as the Winter Festival which has concerts, lights and a few stalls giving it a Christmas feel. You can find out more about it here.
Dubrovnik is a city in southern Croatia fronting the Adriatic Sea. It’s known for its distinctive Old Town, encircled with massive stone walls completed in the 16th century. Its well-preserved buildings range from baroque St. Blaise Church to Renaissance Sponza Palace and Gothic Rector’s Palace, now a history museum. Paved with limestone, the pedestrianized Stradun (or Placa) is lined with shops and restaurants.

The flights from Dublin are with Ryanair, leaving on Friday the 11th of December and leaving on Sunday the 13th of December. As it’s only for two nights, I haven’t added priority with an extra cabin bag and this will cost extra. I’d recommend this bag from Decathlon for €8, which goes under your seat and fits loads in and is the exact dimensions for a Ryanair/EasyJet small cabin bag Decathlon Kipsta 20l bag. The hotel is the 5* Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik, which is rated 9.1 out of 10 with guests from Booking.com. I stayed here as a treat for one night and its a beautiful hotel in a dream location right on the doorstep of Dubrovnik’s Old Town. It was built in 1897, the guest rooms are reflecting late 19th century charm combining it at the same time with modern technology. The hotel has an indoor gym, bar/restaurant and a gym. The rooms are spacious with air-conditioning and a mini-bar.
A double or twin room at Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik is available for €168 per person for a 2 night stay. This brings the total cost from Dublin to €228 per person, which is based on 2 people sharing.
