Porto is a coastal city in northwest Portugal known for its stately bridges and port wine production. Porto is home to some of Portugal’s finest beaches with Miramar, 7 miles south of the city, getting rave reviews. There is lots to do in Porto with wine tours, cruises and even day trips to Spain’s North East possible.

The flights from Shannon are with Ryanair, leaving on Monday the 6th of April and leaving on Wednesday the 8th of April. As it’s only for two nights, I haven’t added priority with an extra cabin bag and this will cost extra. The hotel is the 4* ABC Hotel Porto – Boavista, which is rated 8.2 out of 10 with guests from Booking.com. This property is a 5 minute walk from the Casa da Música concert hall and is across the road from the metro station making it an ideal base to explore Porto. The hotel has a bar and coffee shop on site. The rooms are bright with air-conditioning and soundproofed walls.
