Budapest, Hungary’s capital, is bisected by the River Danube. Its 19th-century Chain Bridge connects the hilly Buda district with flat Pest. There is plenty of things to see and do in Budapest including visiting the hot spring pools at Szechenyi Baths, a cruise on the River Danube, and incredible buildings like St. Stephen’s Basilica, Fisherman’s Bastion and Matthias Church.

The flights from Shannon are with Ryanair, leaving on Wednesday the 18th of February and leaving on Friday the 20th of February. As it’s only for two nights, I haven’t added priority with an extra cabin bag and this will cost extra. The hotel is the 4* KViHotel Budapest – the smart hotel, which is rated 8.5 out of 10 with guests from Booking.com. This property is 400 metres from Dohany Street Synagogue and is just over a 10 minute walk from St. Stephen’s Basilica. This hotel is a smart hotel, so everything is digitalized. Check-in happens through their own application: guests can choose their own rooms and use their smartphones as the room key. The rooms are bright and modern with air-conditioning and free Wi-Fi.
