Amsterdam’s Christmas market, Christmas Village, is known for its delightful combination of delicious food, drinks, and shopping in a magical winter landscape located at Museumplein. On the 12th to the 14th of December, downtown Haarlem will once again be transformed into one of the largest and most cozy Christmas markets in the Netherlands. There are over 350 market stalls with lots of food and drink options! Haarlem is a 13 minute train ride from Amsterdam Sloterdijk Station, which is where I recommend to stay.

The flights from Dublin are with Ryanair, leaving on Friday the 12th of December and leaving on Sunday the 14th of December. As it’s only for two nights, I haven’t added priority with an extra cabin bag and this will cost extra. The hotel is the 4* XO Hotels Park West, which is rated 8.5 out of 10 with guests from Booking.com. This property is a 10 minute walk from Sloterdijk Station making it less than 20 minutes door to door to Amsterdam Central Station. The rooms are modern in design with air-conditioning, free Wi-Fi and a Nespresso machine.
A double or twin room at XO Hotels Park West is available for €115 per person for a 2 night stay. This brings the total cost from Dublin to €165 per person, which is based on 2 people sharing.
