Malaga, in the Andalusian part of Spain, is a port city on southern Spain’s Costa del Sol, known for its high-rise hotels and resorts jutting up from yellow-sand beaches. Malaga in December is home to one of the best light shows in Europe and this year the Christmas lights will remain on from 6.30pm until midnight on weekdays, while on weekends and holidays they will remain on until 2 am. There is no set date for when the Lights Show will begin, however it has traditionally started at the end of November, so I’ve selected dates in the middle of December. The hotel is the 3* B&B HOTEL Málaga Centro, which is rated 8.4 out of 10 with guests from Booking.com. This property is just over a 10 minute walk from Calle Larios, where the Christmas Lights are, and is also Malaga’s major central shopping street. The hotel is also 1 km from Alcazaba. The hotel has free Wi-Fi and a 24 hour front desk. The rooms are minimalist with air-conditioning and soundproof walls.
