Brussels, the capital of Belgium, is considered one of Europe’s best Christmas Market Destinations. The Brussels Christmas market takes place on and around Grand-Place, Bourse, Place Sainte-Catherine and Marché aux Poissons. In previous years, the Winter Wonders event included a Christmas Market with over 200 chalets, fairground attractions and an ice rink! You could even take a day trip to Bruges and see another Christmas Market!

The flights from Dublin to Brussels are with Ryanair, leaving on Sunday the 15th of December and returning on Monday the 16th of December. As it’s only for one night, I haven’t added priority with an extra cabin bag and this will cost extra. The hotel is the 3* Ibis Brussels City Centre, which is rated 7.7 out of 10 with guests from Booking.com. This property has a great location being only a 7 minute walk from the Grand Place, where the Christmas Market is due to take place. The hotel has a bar on site. The rooms are typical of that of an ibis hotel being clean and comfortable.
