Brussels, the capital of Belgium, is considered one of Europe’s best Christmas Market Destinations. The Brussels Christmas market takes place on and around Grand-Place, Bourse, Place Sainte-Catherine and Marché aux Poissons. In previous years, the Winter Wonders event included a Christmas Market with over 200 chalets, fairground attractions and an ice rink! You could even take a day trip to Bruges and see another Christmas Market!

The flights from Dublin to Brussels are with Ryanair, leaving on Saturday the 16th of December and returning on Monday the 18th of December. As it’s only for two nights, I haven’t added priority with an extra cabin bag and this will cost extra. The hotel is the 5* Hotel Le Châtelain, which is rated 8.4 out of 10 with guests from Booking.com. This property is 20 minutes in total by tram from the Christmas Market at Grand Place and is less than 100 metres from the Avenue Louise shopping area. The hotel has a bar/restaurant and a gym on site. The rooms are classic in design with air-conditioning, tea/coffee making facilities and a mini-bar.
