More than 25 individual Christmas Markets are spread throughout the city’s main squares and promenades, each with its own unique theme and atmosphere. Advent in Zagreb had the honor of being named “Best Christmas Market” by European Best Destinations three years in a row, from 2016 – 2018. The flights from Dublin to Zagreb are with Ryanair, leaving on Saturday the 2nd of December and returning on Monday the 4th of December. As it’s only for two nights, I haven’t added priority with an extra cabin bag and this will cost extra. The hotel is the 5* Sheraton Zagreb Hotel , which is rated 8.5 out of 10 with guests from Booking.com. This property is a 10 minute walk from the main train station and is a 12 minute walk from Ban Jelačić, which is the main square in Zagreb where one of the markets will take place. The hotel has a heated indoor swimming pool, a gym, a restaurant and a bar. The rooms are air-conditioned with a mini-bar, free Wi-Fi and tea and coffee making facilities.
