If you were to book a flight I’d recommend reading about the country you plan to fly to current situation and of course Ireland’s (i.e whether you’ll have to quarantine or PCR test etc.), using a credit card as you have greater protection, reading the cancellation conditions and in most cases booking directly with the airline.

Amsterdam is home to a number of Christmas Markets with the centre piece being held at Museumplein in the centre of Amsterdam. Ice Amsterdam, which is a Christmas Market with an ice rink and several food and drink stalls. The ice rink will be open for these dates however the Christmas Market is expected to open at a later date. There is a wonderful Christmas Market in Haarlem which is 30 mins door to door from the hotel I recommend.
